Delete from the app
1. Open Eclesia and tap your avatar to open the menu.
2. Open your profile, then choose “Delete my account.”
3. Read the confirmation and confirm deletion. You need a connection so the server can remove your account.
Signing out, pausing online companions, or uninstalling the app does not delete your server account.
What is removed
Eclesia removes your server account information and associated online sessions. The app clears the deleted account's saved profile, journal, prayers, bookmarks, personal plans, private reflections, and progress on the device where you initiate deletion. Public lessons and shared editorial audio are not personal account data.
Deletion does not delete your Apple ID. If you used Sign in with Apple, you can also manage Eclesia's access in your Apple account settings.
What may remain elsewhere
Local copies on other devices and backups you or Apple keep must be managed separately. Account deletion does not automatically remove content already processed by external AI providers, infrastructure logs or backups retained under their policies, or emails you sent to support. We do not keep chat text in Eclesia's database.
We may retain information where required by applicable law or to resolve a specific support or security issue. Contact us about any concern or deletion request involving information outside the in-app account flow.
If you cannot access the app
Email contact@eclesia.chat and ask for account-deletion assistance. Use the address associated with your account when possible. We may ask for reasonable verification, but never your Apple password or sign-in token.
